Grid Engineering Aston Martin DBR9 GT1
Last week, the guys at Grid Engineering reached out to me for a new design. They had a racer that was going to be doing a series in the GT1 class on iRacing and they needed a Grid Engineering design on the Aston Martin DBR9 GT1. This was the first time I’ve done a livery design on the Aston Martin, so there’s always a little bit of experimentation to figure out a design template that I’ve never worked with before, but I think it came out great. If you’ve never driven this Aston Martin GT1, I strongly recommend you give it a try during the test drive sessions that are available when iRacing is updating. This car is a joy to drive and it is perhaps the BEST sounding car on iRacing.
GPX Testing Camo - 992 Cup Car
This livery design is inspired the Testing Camo livery designed by Sean Bull Design for GPX Racing. It was revealed in March of 2021, on the 911 GT3R, for the pre-season test session and the original artwork is so unique and detailed, it would almost impossible to re-create exactly on a virtual car, if you didn’t have the original art.
I thought it would be cool to do my own artwork, inspired by the look, but not an exact replica. If you want to run this livery on the 992 Cup Car, you can get it here on Trading Paints. I also have a version of this paint on the 911 GT3R, which is the car this artwork was originally designed for.
