FCP Euro AMG GT3

On July 17th, I attended the IMSA Weathertech series races at Lime Rock Park with my son and brother. We saw some great races and a ton of beautiful race cars, but the car I was most impressed with was the FCP Euro AMG GT4 race car. FCP Euro is an online auto parts retailer specializing in European cars and they are one of the supporting sponsors of the Lime Rock Park facility, so they pulled out all of the stops for their home race and were doing a ton of fan friendly activities.

About half way through the IMSA Michelin Pilot Series Lime Rock Park 120 race, the FCP Euro team found themselves in the lead by way of some smart fuel strategy and maybe a little bit of gambling. After the race was over, we headed over to their trailer in the paddock area and got to meet the drivers and see the car up close. They even gave my son a signed poster that ended up being one of the highlights of the day.

Since iRacing doesn’t currently offer the AMG GT4, I decided to retrofit the FCP Euro livery to the AMG GT3. It was a fun process trying to get the livery to translate over the much more aggressive lines of the GT3 race car.
